Quick Deployment System (QDS) Tourniquet (TQ) Carrier
One of the most important items a husband, father, wife and mother could carry with them is a Tourniquet. In the event that you or someone you’re with were to become seriously injured, having a tourniquet on hand could mean the difference between life and death.
However, carrying a full size Cat 7 TQ can be cumbersome and definitely takes up a ton of real estate within a purse or pockets. Cue SnakeStaff Systems with their ETQ, Everyday Carry Tourniquet.
Built from the ground up, we decided to go with a two piece design, that secures with the use of shock cord. This allows us to provide a great deal of retention on an item that doesn’t have a lot of texture that we could explore as retention points. Retention is set by HPM using a live ETQ, ensuring you'll be able to quickly deploy the TQ if need be. (Hopefully you never will) Attached to the QDS is the Discreet Carry Concepts Mod 2.1, which allows the QDS to be carried with or without a belt. Throw it in your pocket like a knife or carrying IWB like a magazine carrier, the choice is yours.
The shock cord only comes in Red. Red is the universal color for medical and it stands out perfectly in our design.
